BABYSITTER FIRST AID

The Babysitter First Aid Workshop

Be ready. Be confident. Be the calm in the chaos. This workshop gives you the confidence and practical know-how to handle the unexpected, from minor scrapes to emergencies, while keeping calm under pressure.

As Port Hedland gears up for end-of-year parties, community events, and busy family gatherings, it’s also the time when many young people step up to help care for little ones.

This non-accredited, hands-on workshop is built for young carers and teens across the Pilbara, and covers all the same skills as a full accredited first aid course — but made simple, engaging, and relevant to real babysitting situations.

You’ll Learn How To:

Stay calm and act fast in an emergency

Perform infant and paediatric CPR

Manage choking, burns, wounds, and drowning

Recognise and respond to allergies, anaphylaxis, asthma, and fevers

Handle falls, bleeding, and everyday first aid situations

Keep little ones (and yourself) safe during the busy festive season

This is about building confidence, responsibility, and the skills to save lives.
